What's a Browser Start Page?

When you open up your browser, it automatically loads a page on the Internet. For a lot of people, that page is MSN or Yahoo.. or whatever. This is your "browser start page" - sometimes called a "browser home page."

You can also go to your startpage by clicking the home icon on your browser's toolbar (see below)

so you are never more than one click away from your startpage.

What many people don't realize is that you can set your browser to load any page you want when you open it. So instead of being stuck with whatever start page your browser was set to when you got your computer, you can change it to whatever you want.

And if you are a pug lover... well, we're thinking we have just the page for you.

   

What will the Pug Start Page do?

  • It shows a great pug picture that changes every time you come back to your home page.
  • It allows you to upload your own pug pictures, so you can share them with every one else. And you can link the picture to your website so viewers can click through when they see your pug picture to check out what else you have there.
  • It has a Google search box right on the page, so you can search directly from your pug start page and get the same results you would get on the Google site - except a little cuter.
  • It allows you to add all your favorite links into an easy menu format - so they are all just one click away.
  • Pick three news feeds to get the latest news you want to see. Choose from our standard list of feeds - including Pugs in the News - or enter any feed you like (we'll tell you where to look for great feeds).
